My name is Dobber (Dobber)

A view from the eyes of a human pup: You know most people will read this and think,” What the hell is a human pup?” Or alternatively, “What kind of freak is a human that wants to be a pup?” Well I’m here to stand up for all human pups out there to say “We AREN’T freaks, we are just like you and need release from the stress of this very tiring world and have found a special way to do it.” Now of all the things out there in this world I was sure I had heard of everything. Boy was I ever wrong! I have recently been enlightened to several things and puppy play was one of them. Not knowing much about the subject, I did like any good person would do and did my research on it. And lo and behold there really is not much out there about it so my handler and I decided to start this blog. There once was a time (not that long ago mind you) when I felt as if there was a hole in my life that couldn’t be filled. No matter what I did with work, hobbies, or friends it didn’t do me any good. Through the grape vine I heard of pup play and did some research on it and decided I wanted to give it a shot. Challenge #1 :find someone else who’s into it, has the same views as I, and wants the same things out of it. WOW! What a challenge that was! But after searching and searching I found my handler when I wasn’t even truly looking. I had this random message from a drag queen on FaceBook (gotta love social media, right??) asking if I had plans and inviting me out to her bingo night she hosts. So I figured I didn’t have anything to do and went out to hang out. During the course of the night, she made a joke referring to “putting a leash on me and making me her puppy.” Which struck me as really odd due to the fact that we had not discussed this previously, at all. So after bingo that night I stuck around after the show and we talked some at length and the inference made during the joke. Unbeknown to me, that particular drag queen would soon become my handler. We discussed it over the course of the next few days and decided to give it a shot playing. challenge #2 A Name The first thing that she did was give me a pup name, Dobber. So we took a trip to the local pet store and boy was I nervous and excited! But that story (and more) will come later.
